A Registered Community Design (RDC) is valid in all EU Member States. “ (EUIPO)
In 2003 the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) (then ОНІМ) introduced the RCD as a concept exceeding the notion of a mere intellectual property right. Since its outset RCDs have crossed the boundaries between production ready ideas and business assets.

To commemorate this cornerstone, EUIPO has launched the Design Europa Awards, giving an opportunity to RCD holders to apply by 15 July 2016.
This awards aims to distinguish designers, who have brought outstanding designs protected by RCD.
