More state control on online gamblingPublished are the technical and functional requirements for gambling software

In No. 58 of the State Gazette /02.07.2013/ were published General technical and functional requirements for the online gambling software and communication equipment for remote gambling. Requirements are issued by the State Commission on Gambling / SCG / to the Ministry of Finance with effect from 02.07.2013.
These general technical and functional requirements regulate:
- The minimum requirements for online gambling software and communications equipment for online gambling and
- The minimum mandatory content of the rules which organizers of online gambling are required to submit for approval by the State Gambling Commission on the technical and functional requirements of the gaming software and communications equipment for online gambling in connection with the Gambling Act.
The organizers of online gambling are required to maintain a Central computer system that must store information about the process of verifying the identity of each participant, does not allow the registration of persons under 18, maintain and keep various records with information on all client registrations (complete or incomplete) and all registered participants, information about gaming accounts, date of registration, and others.
A few days earlier, the Chairman of the Sofia Regional Court, by Order of 28.06.2013 ordered all undertakings providing electronic communications networks and / or services to block the access on the territory of the country of 28 internet websites, which are organized gambling by companies which are not licensed under the Gambling Act.
